On the stern, the cardboard was sticking out just a little too much, so I used my x-ray vision tool to mark where to cut.
Then I turned on my sawzall, and started to aproach the boat.....
And you guessed it, time to break out the sanding tools.
I wanted a nice clean transition from the bottom to the bow and stern transoms, so I ground them flat with my 20 grit sandpaper.
I also went over the sides but for the most part they were flush.
Just for a little extra support, I put a pair of skids on.
Next I put tape over every seam.
Didn't get a picture of it, but everywhere there is a joint, I put fiber reinforced paper tape.
My crew got started painting.
And the first coat of paint is on the bottom.
I found some old latex paint that came with the house we bought.
