Ideas for Articles Topics
Trip Reports & Event Reports
It takes real effort to actually get out there with friends and go puddle duck together, so lets hear about it. Please elaborate about the details like what you did, what were the good parts, what did you enjoy most, what are you going to do next time etc.
Puddle ducking isn't just about events, it is about how you play with your boat and other duckers. Do you go fishing with your duck? Take your kids on day sails? Are you able to get your spouse to go sailing with you? Tell us how you like to use your puddle duck.
Choices for building your boat
With so many different ways you could build a puddle duck, which configuration did you build, and why? What are your original goals of how you plan to use your boat, and how does the configuration you picked benefit those needs?
Updates on what you changed
After you have used your boat for a while, send in updates as to what works as planned, and what you have learned and are now doing different. Are you using your boat like you thought you would? Did you discover a new way to use your duck that you didn't think of before?
Technique & Building
There are many ways to build boats (and parts for them). What sort of techniques did you do? What parts did you build for your boat, and what are the details of how and why you did?
Sail Rigging & Setup
There are hundreds of different ways to rig a sailboat, and tons of different types of hardware you can get or use to configure your boat. Everyone has their own preference, and we all would love to hear what you prefer, and why you do it that way.
