Teardrop Trailers For PDRacers
These are just the cutest darn travel trailers that ever were created. They first apeared back in the 50's, basically it is a plywood camper you make yourself, and they are often shaped like a teardrop. Some are as simple as a plywood box, and others are very elaborate with insulation and a kitchen.
Frye's Teardrop
Richard Frye is a prolific kayak builder. He builds all sorts of kayaks and when he first saw a teardrop trailer, he immediately built a conventional teardrop trailer to carry his kayaks.
Box Top Trailer
Jason Nabors saw the teardrop trailer concept and built this very simple version, which is basically a 4x4x8 plywood box that has a flat top for putting a PDRacer on top of it. The picture shows as the project was being started.
