Great day on Lake Conroe with the Jolly Molly
By Kelly Stroud #974 (3ar)Today was a great day out on the lake with the Jolly Molly. After a test run in the pool, I took her out on the lake. Although there wasn't much wind, I was able to motorsail (troll motor) for a couple of hours. The little pdr got lots of attention as I sailed her around. Even the constable stopped by to check her out. The detachable sides really make the PDR look like a pirate ship. Very happy with how she fared in the wakes of all the boats too. Today was a major contrast to the days following the hurricane in Houston. This boat helped rescue a family from their submerged home during the hurricane, and helped other families get into their submerged homes in the days following the hurricane. One trip I had easily over 700 pounds of weight in the PDR, and she motored right along. The fact that it slides into the bed of my truck makes it even better! Love my PDR!
