We Launched!

A blend of Dave Grey's Redneck Duck design and Jim Michalak's Catbox design, a Sunfish rig borrowed from my neighbor Warren (the idea was mainly to introduce his grandkids to sailing) and a couple of tweaks of my own (e.g., the milk bottle flotation, removable and also well-aired to prevent rot). She sails ok at first blush, better with only one adult on board, but the sail tends to drive her down by the bow in strong gusts so I wonder if a spritsail might be better after all (Dave Grey's design contemplated one, so my center of effort premise might be off a bit with the Sunfish lateen). If so, Dave, I will come back to you to order one. Anyway, it has been a lot of fun to build and hopefully we will tweak it some more and master sailing it now! Thanks to you both, Chris
