PD World Speed Over Distance by Paddle or Pedal
This record is about travelling the fastest that you can, over a defined distance, and only using paddle or pedal power.

Speed Record Rules:
1 - Boat must be setup in class legal configuration, but only use paddle, pedal, or other human powered means.
2 - Use of anything to gain benefit from the wind is prohibited.
3 - Wind effect on the hull is accepted, and OK to take advantage of.
4 - Distance can be measured by GPS, if not then submit the means in which the distance was measured such as point to point between landmasses, bouys, or other charted features.
5 - Distance traveled does not have to be an even number, there are specified ranges so the distance you travel will fit in those ranges.
6 - You may make laps, if you have a GPS that logs distance travelled, you may use that for calculating distance travelled (does not have to be point to point).
7 - Boat must be used on the water, no fair setting the record on a trailer, on the highway
8 - Must be used in an area where tidal flows and currents will not affect the speed
This records shall be reset at the end of each year.

Distance Records Set In A Current
This section records distances travelled using the rules above, only that you are travelling in an area using the tidal flow or river flow to your advantage. Distance is the main factor, and you may transport your PD back up river in a continuous effort to extend the distance travelled - sort of the equivalent of doing laps in a lake.
